The Jonata Springs Ranch Homeowners Association is an equestrian community located one mile NW of Buellton, CA, in the Purísima Hills. The Mediterranean climate is one of the best not just in the US, but worldwide, with over 300 days of sunshine annually.
Residents enjoy country living, yet the amenities of the small town of Buellton are only minutes away. The Santa Ynez Valley is also home to Ballard, Los Alamos, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, and Solvang, each a unique small town. For those seeking privacy, security, and the finest in country ranch living, Jonata Springs Ranch is the ideal location.
Jonata Springs Ranch is a private gated community with 10.5 miles of developed bridle trails, the finest of any association in Santa Barbara County. Whether members and their guests are serious equestrians or merely want a quiet weekend ride, or hikers looking for a pleasant walk, the trails and roadsides provide ample opportunity. For those who simply want to enjoy tranquil country life, the Ranch offers the perfect setting.
Set in gently rolling hills, the Ranch comprises over 800 acres carefully divided into 44 individual parcels of twenty or more acres. Jonata Springs Ranch sits just 15 miles from the ocean, between coastal hills and the higher San Rafael Mountains of the Los Padres National Forest. Santa Maria is 30 minutes away, Santa Barbara 45 minutes, San Luis Obispo one hour, and Los Angeles 2.5 hours in normal traffic.
Jonata Springs Ranch has full-width paved roads and its own Bobcat Springs Mutual Water Company. Many of the parcels are dotted with oak trees and almost all offer beautiful views of the valley and/or mountain ranges.
Jonata Springs Ranch is aptly named, for it includes several year round springs. At dawn and dusk these springs provide a water source for the native animals and birds that live on the Ranch. Red-tailed Hawks, Barn Owls, Meadowlarks, Bobcats, Coyotes, Acorn Woodpeckers, and Pacific Black-tailed Deer are just a few of the species that live with us. Just recently your webmaster looked up to see a Peregrine Falcon circling overhead. So far, no ostriches. Click here for a list of birds seen on the ranch.
